Most of what fails on a blind is a component, not the blind — and components can be replaced.
Not every enquiry needs a new blind. A great deal of what goes wrong is a single failed part: a chain that has snapped or jumped its sprocket, a bracket that has worked loose, a tilt mechanism that has given up, a ladder tape that has perished in the sun, a motor that has stopped responding. All of that is repairable, usually for a fraction of a replacement.
We service blinds we did not supply. A consultant looks at what you have, tells you which parts are still available for that system, and gives you an honest answer — including the answer nobody likes, which is that a twenty-year-old blind in hard highveld sun is sometimes past saving. When that is the case we will say so rather than sell you a repair that will fail again next summer.
