Blinds in Inanda
Equestrian-belt properties with large glazed entertainment wings and long west-facing runs.
Inanda is the greenest corner of this pocket of Johannesburg, with larger stands, mature trees and properties built around outdoor entertaining. That produces two distinct problems: very long runs of west-facing glass on the entertainment wing, and covered terraces that are unusable the moment the wind gets up.
For the glass, the honest answer is exterior shading — external venetians or shading roller shutters — because heat stopped outside the window never becomes heat inside the room. Interior sunscreen rollers then handle glare and privacy without fighting the temperature on their own.
For the terrace, zip screens in side channels are what actually works. A tensioned mesh cannot flap or blow out, so the space stays usable on the afternoons when a loose outdoor blind would be rolled up and useless.
Inanda sits inside our core service area, so it is the same consultant-led measure, the same made-to-order manufacture and the same installation team we bring to Sandhurst itself. The measure is free either way.

The Sandhurst Slope & Sightline Papers
What the light does here, and what we would fit where
Inanda's long glazed entertainment wings catch the same low afternoon sun that rakes the Sandhurst slope. The Papers set out where that sun goes month by month, what it does to each elevation, and what we would specify — with the trade-off written next to every answer.
